One of the first things taught to children when they begin school is not to cheat and be true to your work. In addition to hearing this message from teachers, coaches tell athletes not to cheat themselves during practices. The infamous "line drills" where coaches remind players to "touch the line" when running or the team will face consequences for cheating. Throughout a child's life, he/she is reminded about this valuable lesson by parents/guardians about not cheating themselves. This lesson apparently is not getting across to some people in the United States of America.
President Trump voted at the Palm Beach County Main Library on Saturday October 24th. The 45th President again lashed out on mail in voting while having an interaction with the press. President Trump expressed his feelings by letting the press know that he does not want to fall victim to fraud and have this cost him the election. He is fearful that cheating will lead to the election of Joe Biden.
Like always, Trump is getting scrutinized by the media. President Donald Trump is saying that he thinks that mail in ballots are going to cost him the election and the media portrays this as "whining". Little does the media know, Trump ballots, not Biden ballots are the ones that are found in dumpsters and in sewers etc. Just to make myself clear I am not stating which candidate I support but rather I am expressing my frustration for a new system of voting that is clearly not going to be fair.
If people are allowed to cheat in order to get their way for the biggest decision in the US, what makes children from cheating on tests wrong? What makes cheating during practice wrong? Since people are not getting punished because of cheating during a presidential election, then why should kids get in trouble for cheating on something less significant such as a test? With everything that is happening during this voting period we are portraying the need to cheat on the biggest stage in America where the young and old watch.
Have you ever heard the saying, "You get what you and you don't get upset?" This should apply to the 2020 Presidential Election. For example, if you disagree with Trump's delivery and his Tweets or if you lack confidence in Joe Biden's speaking abilities and question Hunter Biden, either way as an American citizen you must respect the decision made by the American people on Election Day. This is about acceptance, honesty, and integrity of the voting process. It is not about cheating in order to make the outcome go one way or the other.
Make sure during these unprecedented times that you follow the First Amendment of the Constitution by giving everyone freedom of speech and the right to think for themselves when casting their ballot, no matter who they vote for. The right to vote is a privilege and ballots need to remain secret and secure.

This is a great post, Jack. The mail in voting is going to be an issue and I agree with you that whatever we get is what we get and we have to trust the process. I wish all adults remembered the rules about cheating into adulthood, because, sadly, many of them don't.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that the election will be full of voter fraud. People are getting multiple ballots, and lots of them are being found in the trash. The results of this election could be very false.
ReplyDeleteThis is very well written and I agree that the results of the election could be false because of all the votes that get thrown in the trash, lost, and not counted. This years election will be different for many reasons. the mail in ballots being one of them.
