Unpopular Opinion: I Love Eating Vegetables By: Ella Simmons

I'm not exactly sure whether this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I really do love eating vegetables. I feel like I don't want to go a day without eating some sort of food in this category. The way I feel about this may have something to do with how my parents eat - they both eat quite healthy and have vegetables at least 1-2 times daily. I really like most vegetables - my favorites are cucumber, carrot, broccoli, black beans, cauliflower, green beans, and many more. I also love eating salad - it's one of my favorite foods! The one vegetable I really can't stand is tomatoes. It might be because of the texture of them uncooked, because I'm more okay having them when cooked in something else.



There are many benefits to incorporating vegetables in your diet every day:

1. There are very good health benefits. It can reduce heart disease, help with digestion, protect you against some types of cancer, and increase fiber in your food intake (which is important to have in your body). https://www.myplate.gov/eat-healthy/vegetables

2. You can cook it with various spices and oils to make it taste however you want, while it also being very healthy. I love to saute veggies such as broccoli, green beans, and black beans in olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; it's so good!

3. You can also eat vegetables raw with many kinds of dips a sauces such as ranch dressing, balsamic vinaigrette (or any other salad dressings you can think of), or even buffalo dip.



I love vegetables so much, and I'm sure if you don't agree and want to start liking them, you can find so many different ways to change how you prepare them so you can love them too!

  1. I like some vegetables and try to eat them as much as I can, but I definitely prefer fruit. I wish I liked them more, it would make healthy eating much easier haha!

  3. I think everyone should have this opinion! I also love vegetables, but I'm the only one in my house who does. So I just make them for myself! LOL
