A Look On The Bright Side By: Mason Munier

2020, has certainly been a year like no other. We experienced a GLOBAL pandemic, political debates, a divided country, stock market crash, rioters and violence, Kobe Bryant's death and social media struggles.

With no doubt, this year could possibly be one of the hardest, most challenging years our country has had in a long time. Despite all the bad, there are still some positive things to take away from the dramatic last year. It's easy to see all the bad happening around us and going on in our everyday lives but it is also important for us to take a step back once in a while and notice all the good things we still have in our lives that we may be taking for granted.

Here are some of our classmates favorite things from this past year...

"Hanging out with my true best friends."

"Getting back into school and meeting new people."

"The pandemic has allowed me to find out who my real best friends are and it caused me to get very close with them."

"Spending a week in PA with my friends fishing and having a good time."

"Having a friend group and getting a boyfriend."

"Seeing who my true friends are and learning not to take anything for granted."

"I became one with nature."

"Being able to see friends and play sports again after the restrictions got less strict."

"College interest/scholarships because it finally made me feel like my hard work was paying off for once."

Here are some of my favorite things from the past year...

My first high school softball season after the first year got cancelled because of COVID. So far it has been a great season!
I was able to squeeze in multiple beach trips with my friends into my schedule during the summer. We had so much fun on the beach and taking adventures to new places and meeting new people.

Finished our my second basketball season with my team! It was shortened because of COVID but we were still able to accomplish many thing and improve even more for the years to come.
I got to spend my annual family beach trip with my cousins as well as my parents and family. It was so much fun playing games on the beach and eating dinner together and watching the sunset while we eat ice cream.
