Overview:
The end of the school year is in sight, meaning that summer is just around the corner. Obviously, this year travel has been difficult due to Covid restrictions, but hopefully, people can begin traveling normally soon. Today, for my final blog post, I will be reviewing some of my favorite summer vacations in honor of summer being just around the corner.
(all of these trips were in late June to early July so the weather will vary)
The Bahamas: 2014
I went on this trip with my dad, sister, and grandparents and we stayed at Atlantis which was a very nice resort. There were a variety of different restaurants with all sorts of options. The dress code was formal, and the resort had multiple pools throughout with a waterpark. While the beach on the resort wasn't huge, there weren't many people which made it really nice. I also got to swim with dolphins, sea lions, and stingrays. Overall, as a kid, I really enjoyed having my grandparents on the trip and felt the resort was very nice. While this resort was more pricey, as a kid there were lots of things to do.
Turks and Caicos: 2015
From all of the trips I've been on, I still believe Turks and Caicos had the nicest beach. The water was warm, the sand was soft, and it was not humid. We had stayed in a Beaches resort which had very nice rooms and restaurant selections. However, I would definitely say there weren't as many activities to do there as a kid which makes it a more favorable location for adults. With that being said I had a great time and still remember Turks and Caicos for having the best beaches.
Mexico: 2018
The trip to Mexico with my family is one of my all-time favorites because of the resort, food, and activities. The resort we stayed at was called Dreams Playa Mujeres which is a chain. This was an all-inclusive resort with great service. My biggest memory of this trip was that I got to lots of foreign foods, including octopus (it was actually pretty good). The room we had contained a private infinity pool and access to a cabana on the beach which was really nice.
Costa Rica: 2017
Throughout all of the vacations I've been on over the years, Costa Rica is still my favorite. We stayed at another Dreams hotel called Dreams Las Mareas which, like Mexico, had lots of activities, restaurants, and accomodations. While there we took a trip to Nicaragua, a neighboring country, and got to see and experience all of the cultures there. We even were able to see a dormant volcano called Maderas. My family also did a ziplining excursion where we rode horses up a mountain and rode seven ziplines to get down. My favorite experience in Costa Rica was being able to feed and interact with a ton of monkeys that came up to people at the resort. Overall, the nice beaches, resort, and very fun excursions have led to Costa Rica being my favorite vacation of all time.
Conclusion:
To conclude, I have been on many vacations over the years and am very thankful my parents are able to plan these for my sister and me. This summer I will be traveling to Saint Kitt's which is in the Caribbean. Overall, I'm looking forward to finishing out this school year and enjoying this upcoming summer.

These sound amazing! How lucky you are to get to travel! Enjoy your trip this summer!
