The New Best Food In Town By: Kaitlyn Cioc

     In case you haven't heard already, a new Italian deli opened next to the Sparta bowling alley and you all need to go...right now. This deli is called La Vita Italian Specialties and in my opinion, it's the best place to get Italian food besides pizza, which although I love, we already have enough of in Sparta. My dad often drives past the plaza this place is in, so when he saw there was a new restaurant, he randomly decided to go one day. He came home with a sandwich and focaccia for my family to try out. We all only had to have one bite before deciding this was our new favorite spot. My family has now made it a routine to go every Friday and pick up food to bring back home for lunch together. The first time my dad went, he got the rosemary focaccia and chicken cutlet sandwich, which at the time was only a specialty sandwich they offered one day a week. Now, most likely due to popularity or by request, it's the first item listed on their official sandwich menu. The second time we went we also got their fresh mozzarella which was possibly some of the best fresh mozz I've had, and we can get it locally which is the best part. We've also tried the rice balls, prosciutto, Italian beef sandwich, and pepperoni focaccia, which is my personal favorite. All of their food is made fresh and their sandwiches are huge with a lot inside and delicious bread! The chicken cutlet sandwich (my other favorite) has a fried chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella cheese, broccoli rabe, sliced tomato, and tomato jam which is what makes it absolutely amazing. If you haven't figured it out already I love this place and everyone should try it out! The people there are very friendly to all of their customers and they have so many amazing things on their menu, that everyone will enjoy going there.
