You Don't Have to Bored Anymore!
Summer is clearly the best season of the year, the freedom and relaxation are unmatched to any feeling in the world. Yet, not everyone has the ability to jet off to a beach all summer or lounge in the pool from sunrise to sundown. Today we are here to discuss fun activities and alternatives to those activities for the summer.
1. Going to the beach
It is understandable not everyone has a beach house or even time to drive for three hours to the shore for a fun experience. An amazing alternative would be going to the lake since we are so fortunate to live in a town where there are multiples lakes, but if you don't have a pass for the lake then you can buy a slip and slide so you can have your own personal "water park." The sprinklers were fun when we were a kid, and they can still be fun now!
2. Movie Night
I love watching TV as much as anyone, but instead of choosing one two-hour movie that might not even be agreed upon by all, you can opt for a fun game that has a little bit for everyone. For example, Just Dance, Wii Sports, Monopoly, Candyland, and many more are enjoyable games to play with friends and family. Especially on a rainy summer day when going outside is not an option, games can be equally as fun.
3. Going to a Friends House
I don't know about anyone else, but choosing a house to go to or even figuring out a plan is so difficult in my friend group. Therefore, in Sparta the most basic plan everyone should revert to as a fallback is going to the boardwalk, getting ice cream/walking around, maybe even walking up to Dunkin, or grabbing sushi. Even though it's a very simple plan, the people you are with will make it fun and exciting. There are so many possibilities in just that one area of town, using your imagination will make it that more fun.
Overall, summer is coming up faster than we think, and I know I'm not the only one trying to plan what I'm going to do to make sure that I'm not bored. After the year we've had we all need a long break.
I'm so excited for summer and being able to hang out with friends more.
